Bright eyed as ever and now 14 weeks old

It's pretty amazing to think that we all started like Sawyer. Bright eyed, inquisitive, just seeing things for the very first time with no judgement or opinion. His amazement of everything makes me wanna just sit and watch him all day. I mean what could he possibly be thinking to himself.
Anyhow... Now 3 and half months old he is really starting to become active. He got a jumper this week that he just loves. Looking at all the gizmo's and gadgets, smiling, squealing and just trying to touch everything. Meantime I went and got him weighed and measured because I just couldn't wait for two more weeks at his 4 month appointment. He now weighs 14lbs 13oz, exactly double his birth weight and is 26 inches long, 7 & half inches longer than he arrive in this world. Here's a little glimpse of what he's been up to the past few weeks.

Battle of the Bottle versus Boobie!

It seemed like no big deal. Pump, put the breast milk in a bottle... hand it to Dad to feed Sawyer and whola. Well at 5 weeks old it was just that.  Easy peesy. Then fast forward to a month and half later and only exclusively breastfeed in between. Not so much. Poor Seth is left with a crying very unhappy baby wondering what the heck this foreign object was being put in his mouth. Still several attempts later and 3 different style nipples in. Sawyer was still not having it. After lots of great advice and a few more nipples.... Success!! Soysauce took 4 ounces from the Nuk nipple, it seems to be  the only that didn't gag him. Now he happily will finish off the bottle. Biggest lesson in mommyhood so far Patience. Next challenge bring it on.

3 months old!

A few days late... but time flies when you are busy with a 3 month old! A 3 month old can you believe it? Each day is getting more exciting as Sawyer is discovering all sorts of new things. His hands, his feet, himself in the mirror, toys. Seems like life is getting more in focus for our little guy and he can't get enough. Seriously he will just stare at his hands and feet in pure amazement. Like he is saying to himself "Oh! What are those?" The joys of the simple things in life. This month has been an exciting one. No longer the days of blob boy, now he is beginning to show his personality and gosh it's cute. He squeals, smiles, I think even giggled. Since there is no 3 month doctor appointment we did a rough estimate ourselves. Sawyer is now in the 14 pound club and measures around 25 and half inches long.
I feel like I'm falling in love with him more and more each day, if that's even possible. I swear if he could talk he'd tell me to layoff the kisses, but I can't help it.
Oh and an update to my last blog. He is doing great in the crib. In fact he sleeps 8 to 10 hours a night.
